Grandview, MO Grandview, MO Part-time Part-time $13 an hour $13 an hour LIFEGUARD - Parks and Recreation POSITION SUMMARY If you are at least 15 years of age, enjoy the water, and want to work 20 to 29 hours per week, the City of Grandview is hiring lifeguards for our indoor pool and splash park at The View, Grandview's Award Winning Community Center.
We will provide lifeguard certification training for the right individuals.
Must be able to pass the American Red Cross Swim Test.

Job Responsibilities (Include, but not limited to) Must maintain high level of alertness at all times Will be required to participate in ongoing training that will be held during operational hours (operational mannequin drops, pool safety checks, CPR checks) Enforce all posted rules and any other rules that are required to ensure the safety of all participants Make sure that the pool deck is free of clutter and perform all maintenance duties assigned by Aquatic Coordinator Must be able to pass the American Red Cross Swim Test.
Responsible for opening and closing procedures All other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Must be at least 15 years old or older Available shifts include Monday through Friday 7:

00pm (We will work with students to arrange the schedules around school and sports when possible) Must be able to pass the American Red Cross Swim Test (continuous 300-yard swim using only front stroke and breast stroke, two minutes treading water with not using hands, and a timed brick retrieval test) Must be able to work some holidays and rotate weekend shifts Reliable transportation is required.
