Essential duties and
Responsibilities:

Write programs to support inspection activities.
Study and read specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, descriptions, and visualized products to determine materials/machines required to fabricate parts.
Sets up and operates machine tools such as CMMI's, lathes, milling machines, EDMs, pantograph, and grinders to machine parts and verify conformance of parts to specifications Construct tools where no design is available to determine metal flow in dies, select tolerances and perform difficult developmental work.
Measures, marks, and scribes metal stock for machining Examines dies, tools, jigs, and fixtures and recommends design modifications regarding construction and function of parts Ability to heat treat tools and machined parts Understand how an injection mold comes apart, goes together, and functions.
Clean molds/parts using applicable cleaning materials within the department Identify and replace/repair parts on the mold that are defective.
Fit up cores, cavities, ejector pins, and moving parts within a.
0005 clearance.
Works to extremely close tolerances, often within.
0001.
Verifies dimensions, alignments, and clearances of parts and tooling.
Connects wiring and hydraulic lines to install electrical and hydraulic components.
Effectively document and log repairs and information about assigned jobs.
Contact outside vendors for quotes on spare parts and stock upon arrival.
Maintain applicable files around vendors, molds, spare parts, and tooling as required.
Inspect new and reworked mold components and tooling.
Perform inventory control functions.
Assign tasks while conducting ongoing training around apprentices/utilities while overseeing their work.
Must follow all rules and policies.
All other general duties as assigned.
Salary info:
$27 - $37 / hr Recommended Skills Blueprinting Construction Drawing Hydraulics Machinery Stock Control Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
