1st We're hiring for a Maintenance Technician at a great company in Grandview, MO.
The Maintenance Tech A is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all company products and equipment and perform complex diagnostics, repair equipment, and perform preventive maintenance.
Tech A's are also available to consult or perform maintenance tasks to support 24-hour production operations.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintain a preventative maintenance program - Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment - Troubleshoot and resolve machine/equipment problems - Interpret diagrams, blueprints, operations manuals, and specifications - Construct, maintain, and repair secondary fixtures - Work with production staff to analyze inconsistent machine performance - Conduct performance testing on an as needed basis - Make sure that all equipment is operated in accordance with safety rules - Install, modify, and maintain injection molding machines and all related auxiliary equipment - Complete work orders and machine record logs - Assist with daily housekeeping procedures and any other assigned duties Maintenance Technician Requirements:
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues - Adherence to all safety rules to minimize company liability - Minimum 1 years of injection molding maintenance experience or other desirable skill set - Familiarity with principles of carpentry, plumbing, electronics, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, machine mechanics, and machine guarding - Ability to read blueprints, interpret schematics, and other instructions - Forklift training, overhead crane training, and safety training, including the handling of hazardous chemical/wastes and emergency response procedures - Trades apprenticeship/training, or equivalent - Duties are performed indoors throughout the general production area - Able to move throughout the production floor to required works stations - Occasionally disconnect, move, and hook up equipment - Occasionally ascend or descend onto machines and at times retrieving objects from floor level or working at floor level - Occasionally position oneself to maintain, inspect, or install objects or equipment - Occasionally perform tasks at or above shoulder level and at times away from the body, occasionally with the use of tools - Occasionally work with minute objects to prepare, use, place, or position objects, tools, or equipment - Work with minimum supervision at times while completing tasks - Identify and distinguish colors and determine distances and spatial relationships while troubleshooting equipment QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the Midwest.
