Summary:
The Quality Engineer reports directly to the Plant Manager and represents and supports all Corporate Quality initiatives and will act as a liaison between Corporate departments (Engineering, Product Managers, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Quality Management) and the Grandview Missouri Manufacturing Plant when dealing with Quality related subject matters.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Monitoring the Quality of all products produced using Quality tools / Quality related inputs:
Warranty Reports, Scrap, Rework, DMR's, Returns etc.
Monitoring the Quality impact of Suppliers to include DMR's, Incoming inspection etc Support the development and maintenance of required QA / QC documentation with the aid of Corporate Engineering, Product Management, Corporate Quality and Plant personnel.
Documentation can include but is not limited to:
Assembly instructions, Inspection instructions, Visual management aid's etc Be proficient in the use of Quality tools such as 8D problem solving, Root cause analysis, Quality planning / APQP, FMEA, Control plans, MSA, SPC, Tier boards etc Work with Plant Personnel, Corporate Engineering, Product Management, Corporate Quality on root cause analysis and corrective action measures relating to Warranty / RMA's, Internal processes, Internal Audit findings, DMR's etc.
Support Corporate Quality training initiatives as necessary to include being the primary trainer for applicable subject matters.
Provide support to maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 and Dwyer Instruments, LLC requirements.
Provide support to applicable departments (Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Management etc to ensure deadlines and objectives are met for NPD (New Product Development) initiatives.
Identify and support Dwyer Instruments, LLC continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide Quality support, as warranted, to aid Dwyer Instruments, LLC in meeting or exceeding all Quality related metrics (reference KPI's below).
Support as needed to ensure Dwyer Instruments, LLC Audit programs (Internal, Supplier) are sustained.
Drive continuous improvement in plant quality performance, primarily customer DPPM and production scrap.
Support plant third party quality certification, including ATEX, ISO, and others.

Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related technical field or equivalent education / experience 5
years of Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment certified to ISO 9001 or similar standard.
Knowledge of development and implementation of Quality Management Systems such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 17025, ISO 14001 etc Technical aptitude, preferably with instrumentation Proficiency in MS Office, including Word and Excel Excellent communication skills, both orally and written Ability to multitask on a day to day basis Physical/Mental

Work in an office environment and routinely on the Manufacturing Plant production lines.
Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Some areas are narrow and difficult to maneuver.
Work hours are primarly on first shift and are based on Plant Production needs.
Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice as assigned by the Manager.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
