Plant Manager

SUMMARY: The objective of this position is to establish the vision for the Grandview operation by directing the manufacture of products in a cost effective manner while meeting safety, quality and customer goals satisfaction in a continuous improvement environment.  Additionally: Promote improved industrial, human, and community relations.  Promotes safety in the workplace, follows all safety rules, and recognizes and corrects unsafe work conditions.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.  Note: Must follow all work rules and policies  35% Establish the right environment and organization by leading, selecting and building strong innovative manufacturing teams, who are change oriented and capable of planning and implementing programs that will improve manufacturing efficiencies and operations.  25% Optimize production operations and processes by identifying opportunities for productivity improvements and waste reduction, and plan, develop; direct the implementation of such project while accomplishing quality, service and cost objectives of the business.  25% Direct the manufacturing with emphasis on sound safety practices, maximum people involvement, meeting production schedules, quality specifications and overall customer expectations in a cost effective manner.  10% Plan and budget for the necessary capacity (including capital appropriation and expenditure) to meet annual and long-range production needs of the business.    5% Maintain good corporate citizen image and community relations by being an active part of the industrial community and encouraging staff to participate in community activities. Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises:  QA Manager, Molding Manager, Assembly Manager, Operational Excellence Lead, Safety Coordinator, Training coordinator, Building Maintenance Manager and an intern.  Indirectly supervises 325+/- production related employees. Ten to fifteen years related experience and/or training. Equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience successfully integrating, growing, and maintaining Lean Management Systems. In depth knowledge of the production processes and process technology. Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills. Solid management skills, particularly as a change agent. 9762

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
