Manufacturing Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift

Summary

Machine Technicians work as a team to repair, maintain, and adjust assigned production machinery and equipment, keeping them functional and in safe working order to support daily production operations.

Responsibilities

  • Adjust, repair, changeover, start-up machines as needed to ensure quality of parts and required efficiencies.
  • Troubleshoot all electrical machine issues, including AC/DC theory, motors, relay logic, wiring, use of multi-meter, various components and associated wiring.
  • Understand and use common PLC commands. GOT editing and creation. Understand and troubleshoot Melsecnet and cc-link issues. In depth troubleshooting of servo issues including tuning using GX Works2, MR Configurator. Utilize common functions such as Origin, Sequencing, Addressing and associated registers and I/O.
  • Troubleshoot all mechanical issues, including all hand and machine shop tools and GD&T. Disassemble, repair and re-assemble specialized equipment such as Stripping Units. Understand and troubleshoot ball screws including rigidity and backlash. Utilize understanding of alignment issues and 6 degrees of freedom.
  • Repair robots including motors, bearings, ball screws, harmonic drives, re-origin.
  • Perform record-keeping duties to document maintenance schedules, work orders, purchases and inventories.
  • Place purchase orders as necessary to maintain and improve machine condition.
  • Utilize detailed machine and assembly drawings, and A3 (8-step) method for troubleshooting root cause on difficult issues.
  • Lead or participate in effective teamwork for troubleshooting difficult issues.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2-3 years high-speed manufacturing environment.
  • Skilled proficiency in machine maintenance and diagnostic/troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of Programmable Logic Control (PLC)
  • Solid understanding of safety precautions such as Lock-out/Tag-out, Arc Flash protection, welding, and personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and other machinery.
  • Computer literate.
  • Associates degree or additional training in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering helpful.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
